Dr. Jacquelyn Asks some important questions of interest to Lees Summit residents - Chiropractor Lees Summit Dr. Jacquelyn Asks...

How do you know when you're healthy?
Ask most Lees Summit residents this simple question and you're likely to hear, "When you feel good" or "When you're at your proper weight for your height" or "When you have lots of energy and vitality." Great answers. But our chiropractic patients know that true health is when your body is working as it was designed. True health is how you function, not how you feel.
What is the significance of "growing pains?"
Chiropractors know that aches or pains at any age mean something's not right. In fact, many children go through stages of growth without aches or pains. So while "growing pains" may be common, they're not normal. That's why our Lees Summit chiropractic practice sees lots of children. A chiropractic checkup for your child can often help detect and correct problems that are more difficult to correct in Lees Summit adults.

Introducing Lees Summit Chiropractor Dr. Jacquelyn Gates

Dr. Jacquelyn Gates, Lees Summit Chiropractor

At 13 years of age, I suffered neck and head injuries from a fall. Almost immediately I developed persistent headaches and tonsils that would swell and become very painful. My condition was diagnosed as ‘tonsillitis.’ After seeing three different doctors, with injection of antibiotics by each, all were in agreement that the tonsils needed to come out.

My older brother had just started seeing a chiropractor, and I had gone along to the new patient presentation with him, and innocently asked the chiropractor if he could ‘fix my tonsils.’ He told me that he did not treat tonsils, but he could correct any misalignments in my neck that may be causing interference to the nerve supply, and with the proper messages being relayed, they may have a chance of rebuilding themselves and healing.

Although skeptical at first, I noticed that with each monthly adjustment, I would improve progressively more quickly. Then, per Dr. Gold, I started receiving an adjustment several days before I would normally get sick. The tonsils quit swelling, and I stayed well.

This was a changing point in my life. Not only was I healed from the enlarged tonsils and headaches, I knew that I wanted to help people with natural care as chiropractic medicine had helped me. I thank God every day for this life changing experience.

I graduated from Sherman Chiropractic College in S.C. in 1976 and have been serving the Kansas City and Lee’s Summit area since 1978.

My Mission is to tell everyone who will listen about natural health with Chiropractic so that everyone will be brought up knowing that; “Chiropractic Spinal Checkups are necessary for how well your body works."

Yours for Better Health,

Dr. Jackie
